Introduction:
This tour begins with a panoramic city tour through downtown Rio, passing
by the Sambodrome and the Metropolitan Cathedral in pyramidal form,
internal diameter of 96 meters and 80 m high.
Get to know the traditional Cinelândia Square with its historical
buildings, the Municipal Theater, the National Library and the National
Museum of Fine Arts. We will then take the Aterro do Flamengo to proceed
to Urca district, where one of the largest symbols of the city is located:
the Sugar Loaf.
This visit is made in two steps by cable car. The first cable car takes
passengers to Urca Hill, 215 meters high, from where one can have a
beautiful view of Guanabara Bay and its islands, Rio-Niterói
Bridge and Corcovado Hill. The second step, to top of Sugar Loaf Mountain,
395 meters high, reserves a splendid view of Copacabana Beach, Santa
Cruz fortress and some beaches of Niterói.
